Sarang, an autodidact, started his career with India Today in 2004, documenting and covering everyday news. A career spanning over 17 years, he has been commissioned by the biggest fashion brands and advertising agencies, domestically and internationally, to photograph, direct and create their distinct visual language. He has gone from setting up the photography club in high school to consulting for the biggest e-commerce companies, helping them establish their photo-departments. Sarang works across Delhi, Mumbai, Singapore and New York.

 

His early childhood memories are of the time spent in his father's library - listening to audiobooks and reading the works of T.S. Eliot and W.B. Yeats. The poetic influences in his work are the signature style of his creations. He derives inspiration from the written words of poets, paintings and his constant travels and interaction with people - LIFE.
